About this site

V-League Magic Number breaks down the V-League men's and women's postseason race using numbers: current standings and games remaining, magic numbers by finishing position, head-to-head records, and per-team analysis.

Data source and refresh

Standings and head-to-head records come from KOVO's (Korea Volleyball Federation) official API. Results are cached for 30 minutes to limit load, and every page shows the timestamp they were fetched. Before a season starts, we show the previous season's final standings; once the new season's games begin, the site switches to live standings automatically.

How the analysis is calculated

• Magic numbers - Calculated from the V-League's bonus-point system (3-0/3-1 win = 3 pts, 3-2 win = 2 pts, 2-3 loss = 1 pt, 0-3/1-3 loss = 0 pts), assuming the worst case throughout. See the points system & magic number guide.
• Auto-generated summaries - Written by rule directly from the standings and head-to-head numbers, and update automatically as the data changes.

Why no logos

This site doesn't use any club logos or emblem images — teams are identified only by color and abbreviated text.
