About This Site

KBL Standings & Magic Number turns the KBL standings race into plain numbers: current standings, remaining games, playoff odds, seed-by-seed magic numbers, and a short team-by-team breakdown.

Data Source & Updates

Standings data comes from KBL's own official public team-ranking feed (kbl.or.kr). To keep request volume low, fetched results are reused for 30 minutes; once new games are reflected in KBL's standings, this site picks them up on the next refresh. Every page shows an "as of" timestamp.

How We Calculate

Magic numbers - calculated from a win-loss format with no ties. See the magic number guide.
Data summary - written automatically from the standings numbers only, following fixed rules; it updates whenever the data does.
Head-to-head - KBL's public feed doesn't expose pairwise head-to-head records, so this site doesn't show a matchup matrix. Home/away splits and last-5 form are shown instead.

Before the Season Starts

Before a new season's games begin, this site shows the previous season's final standings instead, with a banner explaining that. It switches to live data automatically once the new season's games are reflected in the standings.
